Synopsis:                This wonderful musical could easily be subtitled "the rest of the story." The sequel to the hit musical NUNSENSE takes place approximately six weeks after the first "benefit performance."  The same five nuns are back on stage at Mt. Saint Helen's School for what is billed as a "Thank You Program" for their supporters. This time they’re a bit slicker, having been “bitten by the theatre bug.”  Before long, chaos erupts.  The Franciscans are on their way to the convent to claim Sister Mary Paul (who recently won the Publishers Clearing House Sweepstakes) as one of their own!  Full of song, dance, fun, and almost heavenly antics, you’ll want to be part of the fun!  Join Reverend Mother, Sister Robert Anne and all the rest for a rip roaring good time!

What to expect:

This will be a FUN audition….make up your mind NOW that you are going to have fun and enjoy the time spent with all of us at the theatre!

NUNSENSE II is a musical and because of that, it requires that we have five solo-quality female vocalists that also have the ability to blend with one another.  Please come prepared to sing a musical selection that showcases your vocal range and your artistic ability.    You may sing a cappella, with a recorded back track, or bring sheet music and an accompanist will be provided. If you plan on singing an aria, please be aware that you may be asked to step outside to finish it after the first three minutes are up so as not to hold up the others waiting to audition. J

We can’t all dance like Ginger Rogers or Shakira and to be honest, the Little Sisters of Hoboken probably wouldn’t WANT to dance like Shakira (well maybe Robert Anne, but we’d better not suggest it).  That being said, NUNSENSE II is a musical that also has choreography, so be prepared to spend a little time with our choreographer just going through some basic steps so we can see how you strut your stuff – comfortable clothing and shoes would be a good idea.

This show is all about having a good time, letting it all hang out in good taste (after all the characters are dressed in habits!), enjoying the sisterhood and having a great time with the audience. Be prepared to come have fun and to participate in some engaging activities along the way.  Every effort will be made to make your audition as enjoyable and as painless as possible.

Come join the fun!!
